International Students Scholarships A simple way to find study scholarships for overseas students

If you get a SAT score of 1630 for a scholarship, is it worth applying or is it too low when you are overseas.

For example, a person in the Caribbean got a SAT score of 1630 and wants a scholarship to persue a degree, but does not know if it makes sense applying with such marks. Also, the person is an 'A' student with co-curricular activities and is very promising if given the chance to obtain the degree.

  1. Anyone will take a 1630

  2. 1630 out of 2400 is not terrible.

For those of you who are confused, the max score went from 1600 to 2400 in 2005 when they added an essay part.

  3. it’s a excellent score

  4. I was under the impression that the maximum score for the SAT was 1600. Something seems fishy.

  5. I don’t really know much about the new scoring system, but it’s pretty much always worth applying just to see. Test scores don’t mean everything.

By the way, the max is now 2400 for those who don’t know. They added a writing section.

  6. Check out this web site: http://www.guaranteed-scholarships.com/ and you’ll see a list of colleges that will offer scholarships for scores less than 1630.

  7. That’s news to me that they administer the SAT in the Caribbean.

That is a very excellent score. If you don’t get a scholarship you could at least migrate here illegally and pick a state that gives illegals in-state tuition.
