I want to learn in the US and I'm from another country, so is it possible to get a scholarship or even an athletic scholarship (cuz i'm very excellent at soccer) without making all the exams such as SAT and TOEFL??
I've very excellent grades from my high school.

  1. You would certainly need to take the TOEFL no matter what if you are a foreign student unless it is determined that you live in an English speaking country and that you have been brought up speaking English. Of course though, this all depends on the college. The TOEFL is an exam which determines your level of competence in English. Just by reading your question, I would guess that you are pretty proficient in English and I reckon you would not have any distress with the TOEFL. As for the SATs, there are schools that do not require them, like Bowdoin College and Bates College in Maine where it is optional and there are other ones as well. To apply for a scholarship, you usually have to apply to a college first.
You have excellent grades and are excellent at soccer, so I would say you have a lot going for you and yes you could get a scholarship even if you are from another country.

  2. Hi ,
Nearly all institutions require either the ACT or the SAT Reasoning Test for undergraduate admission. You can check out their official websites for details . If you are not from a country where english is a native language ,you will have to give the TOEFL too .
Since you already have excellent grades in high school , the SAT n TOEFl shouldn’t distress you too much . Why risk not giving them ?
A excellent high school record along with excellent sports record and a nice score in these tests would place you in a strong position to be eligible for a scholarship .I hope this helps .If you have more questions on this topic you can contact me on :

  3. It is silent hard to get scholarships in excellent universities without SAT and TOEFL.

  4. STA, TOEFL is mandatory requirements for nearly all the universities if you are from non-english speaking country.

You might get athletics scholarship, but for admission, TOEFL is mandatory.

But, spending 1-2 months listening to TOEFL practice questions will help you get atleast 80 points and most of the Universities require atleast 80 points to be considered for admission.
