STA, TOEFL is mandatory requirements for almost all the universities if you are from non-english speaking country.

You might get athletics scholarship, but for admission, TOEFL is mandatory.

But, spending 1-2 months listening to TOEFL practice questions will help you get atleast 80 points and most of the Universities require atleast 80 points to be considered for admission.

Hi ,
Almost all institutions require either the ACT or the SAT Reasoning Test for undergraduate admission. You can check out their official websites for details . If you are not from a country where english is a native language ,you will have to give the TOEFL too .
Since you already have good grades in high school , the SAT n TOEFl shouldn't trouble you too much . Why risk not giving them ?
A good high school record along with good sports record and a nice score in these tests would put you in a strong position to be eligible for a scholarship .I hope this helps .If you have more questions on this topic you can contact me on :

This site should help .

You would definitely need to take the TOEFL no matter what if you are a foreign student unless it is determined that you live in an English speaking country and that you have been brought up speaking English. Of course though, this all depends on the college. The TOEFL is an exam which determines your level of competence in English. Just by reading your question, I would guess that you are pretty proficient in English and I think you would not have any trouble with the TOEFL. As for the SATs, there are schools that do not require them, like Bowdoin College and Bates College in Maine where it is optional and there are other ones as well. To apply for a scholarship, you usually have to apply to a college first.
You have good grades and are good at soccer, so I would say you have a lot going for you and yes you could get a scholarship even if you are from another country.
